The Museum of Natural Sciences
Located in the Jardin del Real (also known as Viveros Park), the Museum of Natural History presents engaging and informative display rooms of fossils and skeletons from Valencia’s prehistoric past. There is an impressive collection of dinosaur skeletons that will amaze the visitor, all of which were unearthed from around the Province of Valencia.
In addition there are also galleries showing the lives and laboratories of valencian archaeologists who helped create and categorize the collection. These rooms highlight the human element of the museum, giving perspective to the visitor and encouraging their curiosity.
Finally the Museum of Natural Sciences has exhibitions which focus on the diversity of Valencia’s local ecosystem, with a special focus on the environment of the Albufera. As well there are always temporary exhibitions showcasing a variety of themes of an ecological or ethnological nature. A visit to this museum will delight young and old alike!
