The Visigoth Crypt
The Visigoth Crypt is one of the hidden gems of Valencia. Located just steps from the Plaza of the Virgin, this 1300 year old building was a part of the massive Visigoth Cathedral, whose remains can be seen in the Archaeological Museum of The Almoina.
Descending down, visitors will be astounded at the carved details of the stonework and the heavy arches which hold up the ceiling of the crypt. There are works of porcelain displayed around the structure and with the help of elevated catwalks, the visitor is transported to an ancient time, able to peer into history itself!
